Since graduating from the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Business, I have been providing mortgage financing for 23 years. With six years as an underwriter, I am able to provide a smooth transaction whether you are a first-time home buyer, refinancing a complicated loan, or relocating with your employer or military branch.

A customer's experience ultimately depends on setting the right expectations during the application process and then meeting or exceeding these expectations. I pride myself on letting all of my clients know what to expect from day one and delivering upon those expectations.

I work evenings and weekends to accommodate my clients' busy schedules, but when I am away from my desk, you will find me running, coaching youth sports, and traveling. My wife of 19 years and my two children (14 and 11) keep me motivated to provide transparency and communication throughout the entire home purchase or refinance process.

Key steps to your new home loan

  • Application

    There are many different things to consider when choosing your new loan type, and I’m here to help. I’d be happy to assist you with your application over the phone or at my office. Once your application is submitted, you’ll want to start gathering important documents such as recent pay and bank statements.

  • Processing & Underwriting

    All loan processing and underwriting occurs in-house at First Midwest Bank. This streamlines our operations and can work to your advantage by helping to get you to closing sooner. During this time, our teams will work with you to ensure that all paperwork has been submitted and that everything is in order for a final approval of your new loan. We adhere to stringent lending policies that keep us on solid financial ground and instill confidence in all of our lending clients.

  • Approval

    Loan approval is clearly a very key step in the process and comes from our in-house underwriting team. Once approved, I will be in touch to deliver the good news and to schedule your closing date. If you are buying a new home, this is the time to start contacting utility providers at your current residence and the new one about service and address changes.

  • Closing

    The final and most exciting step is the closing. This is where you’ll get the keys to your new home and sign a variety of legal and other documents including your new mortgage. If you are closing on a new home purchase, various other people may attend the closing, including attorneys, real estate professionals and your seller.
